Barbara Roberts
Trustee

Barbara has known Wendy, the chair, for many years. When Wendy told Barbara about her work with the Kleefstra Syndrome charity, it raised Barbara’s interest as her older sister has a rare disease, Oculodentodigital dysplasia (ODDD). After looking at the Kleefstra Syndrome website to understand more about it and the charity Barbara asked about becoming a trustee.
1n 1996 Barbara started her own franchise business which she managed until she sold it in 2016. For 12 years she also worked for the franchisor. Her role was to lead, support and provide training to existing franchisees and to train new franchisees in the management of their businesses. Barbara remains active in retirement. She volunteers as an assistant instructor at her local ladies only gym and is a member and Chair for Stafford Walking Netball Club. She is delighted to use her business and volunteering experiences to support the charity in raising awareness of Kleefstra Syndrome.
