Fundraising for Kleefstra Syndrome UK
Raise money for Kleefstra Syndrome UK

Here’s some ideas to get you started!

Whether you’re fundraising solo, with friends and family, in the workplace or at school, there are so many fun and simple ways to raise money for Kleefstra Syndrome UK. Every event – big or small – helps us support more families and raise awareness.

REMEMBER – you can fundraise for your family to attend our annual Family Conference! It’s an event that’s NOT to be missed and we actively encourage you to participate in fundraising efforts and events so that you and your whole family can join us!

With Friends, Family and in the Community

Get together and have some fun while fundraising! Here are some popular community-friendly ideas:

Cake Sale
Bake (or buy!) some fabulous cakes and set up a table at your local school fair or sports day, community centre, market day, car boot or even your front garden. Everyone loves cake for a cause! Check out our Cake Sale Toolkit for downloadable templates to help your sale be a sweet success!

Recycle Clothes
Host a clothes swap or sell pre-loved clothes online or at a local market. You’ll be helping the planet and raising funds at the same time.

Car Boot Sale
Clear out your cupboards and raise money by selling unwanted items at your nearest car boot sale.

‍‍Walks, Runs, Cycles or Swims
Whether it’s a gentle family walk or a full marathon, set a distance, get sponsored, and go! Invite friends to join or cheer you on. Take a look at our Event Toolkit to get the most out of your efforts!

Personal Challenges
Climb a hill, give up chocolate, or take on something daring. Set a goal and ask for sponsorship to complete your challenge.

Quiz Night
Host a fun quiz night at home, online, school or in your local pub. Charge an entry fee and include a raffle or donation bucket for bonus fundraising.

Car Wash
A classic and easy fundraiser. Offer to wash neighbours’ or friends’ cars for a donation.

Board Game Tournament
Invite friends round for an evening of Monopoly, Scrabble or cards. Add a competitive twist with prizes or an entry fee.

With work colleagues!

Bring your colleagues together and brighten the workday with a good cause:

Cake Sale / Coffee Morning
Set up a treat table in the break room and invite donations in exchange for cakes and hot drinks. Don’t forget the Cake Sale Toolkit.

Sponsored Steps, Cycle or Walk
Challenge your office to reach a step goal in a week or cycle to work – track progress and encourage sponsorship.

Charity Auction or Raffle
Gather donated prizes and host an auction or raffle. Perfect for Christmas, team days or online too.

Fancy Dress / Dress Down Day
Pick a theme (or just wear your pyjamas!) and ask for a small donation to take part.

Office Quiz
Lunchtime or after work quizzes are always a winner. Raise even more by adding a raffle or cake sale alongside.

At school!

Get the whole school involved in making a difference:

Non-Uniform / Pyjama Day
Ask pupils and staff to ditch the uniform and donate a pound to dress down – or dress up!

Fair or Sports Day Fundraising
Add a fundraising twist to existing events – try face painting, lucky dips, or even custard-pie-the-teacher!

Sponsored Silence or ‘Spellathon’
Classic sponsored challenges that are simple to run and great for kids of all ages.

Family Quiz Night
Invite parents, carers and children to an evening of brain teasers, snacks and fundraising fun.

We’re here to help! If you need posters, templates or just want to chat about your plans, we’d love to hear from you. If you’d like some Hints and Tips on how to maximise your fundraising efforts – click on the link below!
