Twycross Zoo Visit

You are warmly invited to a Midlands family gathering at Twycross Zoo in Tamworth, Leicestershire, on Sunday, September 24th, starting at 10:00 AM. This special event is generously hosted by Kleefstra Syndrome UK.

Why Attend?

We understand the unique challenges and joys of living with Kleefstra Syndrome, and this gathering is your chance to connect with other families who share your journey. Whether you prefer deep conversations or simply want to enjoy the day with like-minded individuals who “get it,” this event is tailored to your needs. This is your time to relax, connect, and share experiences.

Venue Highlights:

  • Twycross Zoo is a spacious and accessible location, offering both indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Wheelchair-friendly pathways for easy access to animal exhibits.
  • ️ Indoor and outdoor play areas for children to enjoy.
  • ️ Ample picnic tables and food options, including cafes, restaurants, and coffee stalls.
  • Water splash area (don’t forget swimwear, towels, or a change of clothes!).
  • The zoo even features a Gruffalo-themed area.
  • Changing Places toilet facilities for your convenience.

Lunchtime Details:

We recommend bringing a picnic, but you can also purchase food at the zoo’s cafe or restaurant if you prefer. There are plenty of spaces to enjoy your meal, whether you lay down a blanket or use one of the picnic tables.

Tickets:

Thanks to Kleefstra Syndrome UK, entrance tickets to Twycross Zoo will be provided for all KS families. Please make the most of this opportunity to create lasting memories with your loved ones.

RSVP:

To confirm your attendance, kindly send an email to chair@kleefstrasyndrome.org by Saturday, September 16th. We need to make the booking a few days in advance.

In your email, please specify:

  • The number of parents/adults attending.
  • The number and ages of the children in your party.
  • If any of your party includes a registered accompanying carer (carers attend for free; please bring proof).

Twycross Zoo Members:

If you already have annual tickets or are a member of Twycross Zoo, please let us know. Your support is greatly appreciated as a charity organization.

Meet the Team:

Our Chair and a couple of Trustees will be present, eager to connect with you. However, this day is primarily designed for you to meet other Kleefstra families. Please don’t be shy; we’d love to meet you!

Questions?

If you have any questions or need further information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re here to assist you and ensure you have a fantastic day.

We’re excited to welcome you to this heartwarming gathering of Kleefstra Syndrome families. Let’s come together, share stories, and create cherished memories. See you at Twycross Zoo!
